Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing

Reasonable Suspicion Drug Testing Services

Mid-Atlantic Workforce Compliance (MAWC) provides reasonable suspicion drug testing services for employers who believe an employee may be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while on duty.

Reasonable suspicion testing allows employers to address workplace safety concerns when an employee’s behavior, appearance, or performance raises concerns about possible substance use.

MAWC provides professional specimen collection services to support employer compliance programs and workplace safety policies.

Situations That May Require Testing

Employers may request reasonable suspicion testing when there are observable signs such as:

  • Impaired coordination

  • Unusual behavior or mood changes

  • Slurred speech

  • Odor of alcohol or drugs

  • Unsafe job performance

Employers may document observed behaviors prior to initiating testing.

Mobile Testing for Employers

MAWC provides mobile specimen collection services so employers can complete reasonable suspicion testing without sending employees to off-site clinics.

Mobile testing may be conducted at:

  • Job Sites

  • Corporate Offices

  • Warehouses

  • Industrial Facilities

Mobile testing helps employers respond quickly to workplace safety concerns.

Testing Options

Testing options may include:

  • Urine Drug Testing

  • Oral Fluid Testing

  • Hair Follicle Testing

  • Breath Alcohol Testing

Laboratory specimens are submitted to certified laboratories for analysis with Medical Review Officer (MRO) verification available when required.
